Constructing the paper tape panel 2025-12-22

The paper tape panel is quite a complex assembly of parts, relying on some very clever alignment and soldering to construct a solid platform to install a pair of USB-A female jacks.

As it turms out, alignment and soldering were not all that difficult, and I was very impressed with the final panel.

My only issue, still unresolved, is that the two tiny blue 'tabs' that came from the speaker panel are only held in place from the back with green painter's tape. In my mind, this is not a permanent solution. I'm thinking some kind of light glue. Fortunately thest two pieces can be accessed from the front of the panel, so can be permanently affixed at a later time.

I also did not install the two USB jacks at this time as it's easier to store the panel without the wires sticking down.
